The art of photography is more accessible to the masses than it has ever been, but there is still a distinct separation between the professional photographer and the photography hobbyist, in both the quality of the images as well as in the overall experience. When it comes to important milestones in your life, such as your high school senior portraits, it’s best to leave it up to the pros.
A professional photographer not only knows his/her equipment inside and out, but also knows the importance of posing, wardrobe, proper lighting, and getting a client’s personality to shine for the session.

Start to Finish

pre-session
After you decide to book with us, we will start the planning process. First, we will ask you to complete a senior questionnaire. This will ensure that we get to know who you are and build your session to suit you. We will discuss location, looks, style and overall feel for your session. We will also choose a date, send a contract and deposit invoice to your parent/guardian.
About a week before your session we will check in to verify session date, time and location. We’ll ask you to text us pictures of your outfits, and map out our plan of attack.

session day
On session day we’ll shoot! We’ll start with a little warm up and guide you through the whole session. Don’t be afraid to speak up if you have some super cool ideas while we’re shooting. Depending on which session you chose, we’ll be together anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple of hours. Make sure you bring comfortable shoes if our location demands a lot of walking :) . In hot summer months, you may want to bring make-up for touch ups, oil absorbing towelettes, a brush, hairspray etc…

AFTER YOUR SESSION
Sit back and relax. Your session went great! We know you will be anxious to see your images so we always post a sneak peak within 24 hours. Your final gallery will be ready for viewing in approximately 2-3 weeks. During our busy season, it may take up to 4 weeks to complete. (Remember, your images are professional re-touched by hand) Our Signature Session Albums will be ordered once your gallery is complete and will take an addition 2 weeks delivery.
Location
Part of the planning process for your session includes choosing a great location (or multiple locations depending on your package).
Your senior session is a pretty big deal - it revolves around you and how you dream of being photographed. We want you to plan the details with us, including where we shoot. Location plays a big role in the overall look and feel of your session.
URBAN
Do you find yourself flipping through the latest Allure or Glamour, wishing that was you in their editorial spread?
An urban alleyway or cityscape might be the perfect location for your session.
Were you so involved in sports during your high school years that you couldn’t imagine a session without incorporating your home turf somehow?
Let’s head to your school and set up on the field or on the court.
Are you the free spirit, boho type who loves writing poetry and listening to indie artists?
A session on the beach or in a field may be your ideal location.
There are so many possibilities when it comes to choosing a great location but we don’t want you to stress too much about it either. We’ll narrow down our choices to the perfect one or two for you and your unique style and personality. In the end, you portraits are going to showcase you as the main focal point!
